My name is Shannon Verrett. I have over 24 years of experience in child care and preschool. I started as a 2 and 3-year-old teacher at Merry Oaks Preschool. In 2009, I went to Houma Assembly Christian Academy to work as a 3-year-old teacher, and I helped the director with paperwork and other office duties. In May of 2019, the academy closed. In June 2019, I went to work at Little Life's Learning Center as a prek-3 teacher. In January 2020, I was asked to take the role of staff in charge. In 2022, I was asked to become the assistant director at LLLC. In Oct.2023, I decided to become part of the Pelican Point Preschool family as staff In charge. I'm excited about becoming the assistant director here at Pelican Point Preschool. Working in childcare/preschool is a passion of mine. My heart is to make the children feel safe and excited about coming to school. I have 3 children, 2 girls and 1 son. I enjoy spending time with my family and getting pedicures when needed.
