Halloween Safety Tips for Pelican Point Preschool Families

Halloween is such an exciting time for our little ones at Pelican Point Preschool! As we prepare for costumes, candy, and spooky fun, safety is the most important treat of all. To help keep our preschoolers safe while enjoying the festivities, here are some easy Halloween safety tips for families:

1. Choose Safe Costumes

Make sure costumes are bright, reflective, and fit well to prevent trips and falls. Avoid masks that cover the entire face to help children see clearly.

2. Use Non-Toxic Makeup

If your child prefers face paint over masks, choose hypoallergenic, non-toxic makeup and test it on a small patch of skin beforehand.

3. Supervise Trick-or-Treating

Always accompany young children while trick-or-treating, and remind older kids to stay in familiar neighborhoods with friends.

4. Check Treats Before Eating

Inspect candy to ensure wrappers are intact and avoid homemade treats from strangers.

5. Use Flashlights or Glow Sticks

Equip kids with flashlights or glow sticks to improve visibility in the dark.

At Pelican Point Preschool, we love seeing our kiddos celebrate safely and happily! Have a fun and safe Halloween!

We look forward to hearing from you!
