Fall Festivals

Fall is here, and our neighborhood is buzzing with exciting events that are just perfect for you. From tasty gumbo feasts to spooky dog parades, carnival fun, and more, we’ve got a fantastic lineup of fall festivals happening in our area. In this blog post, we’ll tell you all about these cool happenings. So, get ready to join in the fun and make some special memories!  

Louisiana Gumbo Festival | October 13- 15 | Chackbay

Come out and celebrate the 50th annual Louisiana Gumbo Festival where volunteers cook and serve nearly 500 gallons of gumbo. The action packed weekend will include Cajun food, music, amusement rides, parade, auction, demonstrations, and much more.

Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade & Festival | October 14 from 10 a.m, - 1p.m. | Houma Courthouse Square

The event will kick off with a meet and greet, followed by a short canine parade. A variety of awards will be given and various dog-related vendors will have booths presenting their wares and offering tips on grooming and pet care.

Coco’s Birthday Carnival | October 21 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. | Bayou Country Children’s Museum

The BCCM is celebrating its 10 year anniversary with carnival fun, museum play and tethered hot air balloon rides.

St. Bernadette Church's Annual Trunk or Treat | October 25th 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | St. Bernedette Church

Join your church family and friends for an exciting and safe night for the kids!

Monsters On Main | October 27 from 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. | Downtown Thibodaux

Bring your little ghosts and ghouls for a fun and free evening of trick-or-treating with participating businesses.

French Food Festival | October 27 - 29 | Larose

Celebrate Cajun food and culture with over 40 food booths, music, dancing, an auction, Cajun market, petting zoo, contests, and a race. There’s something for everyone at the 48th annual festival.

Bayou Arts Fest | October 28 from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. | Downtown Houma

Explore Houma has merged the White Boot Stroll with the Bayou Arts Fest and Voice of the Wetlands to bring you a jammin’ festival surrounding our Cajun culture and heritage at one family friendly event.

Acadia Music Fest | October 28 from 12 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. | Thibodaux

Thibodaux’s largest outdoor music festival will feature a variety of live music, local artists, delicious food, and a kid’s korner. Proceeds will benefit The Ben Meyer Foundation.

Trunk or Treat | October 28 from 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Peltier Park, Thibodaux

The City of Thibodaux Recreation Department will host a trunk or treat to raise awareness for autism and special needs community members. Call in advance to reserve treats.
