Patience and grace. As a parent of a preschooler, you are familiar with these qualities. Every day you face situations that require you to take a breath, gain your composure, and move forward, from the tantrum over the wrong color plate at breakfast, or the aftermath of your child insisting they can pour their own cup of juice. We practice our patience, and we do everything we can to show grace in the face of the minor inconveniences we expect as our children grow.

These practiced qualities can be put to the test however when we are faced with a true tragedy or traumatic loss. Dealing with the setback due to the fire at our facility was heartbreaking for us all. But, we can and will bounce back from this tragedy with patience and grace.

Moving forward happens one day at a time. Our staff at at Pelican Point Preschool is imagining what our completed facility will be like, when it’s filled with the sound of little feet, laughter, and learning. One day, we will be on the other side of this.
